What We Do

1:1 Support

Our buddy system pairs each client with a dedicated support worker, building trust through regular one-to-one sessions.

Our 1:1 offer

Our buddy system pairs each client with a dedicated support worker, building trust through regular one-to-one sessions. During these weekly sessions, clients are supported to set personal goals, discuss any challenges they are facing, and identify practical solutions. Sessions are client-led, lasting as long as needed and focusing on the individual's priorities at that time.

Support workers help clients break down larger goals into manageable, achievable steps, providing encouragement and accountability throughout their journey. In addition to centre-based sessions, support workers attend advocacy appointments with clients when required and help connect them with other services and community resources, ensuring they receive holistic, coordinated support. Clients complete a wellbeing scale every 3 months.

Counselling

Number 11 offers access to counselling for clients who may benefit from additional emotional wellbeing support. We currently work with two volunteer counsellors who provide person-centred support, with the number of sessions tailored to each individual's needs and circumstances. Sessions take place in our centre.

Counselling helps clients explore the underlying causes of the challenges they face, supporting them to develop coping strategies, improve wellbeing and build resilience.

Our volunteer counsellors are professionally supported by Rachael, our Lead Psychotherapist (Level 7 qualified), who provides clinical oversight, guidance and best practice advice. She works closely with both the counselling team and client support staff to ensure clients receive safe, effective and joined-up support that meets their individual needs.

She has a way of making you feel listened to, understood & comfortable. She is honest, supportive & genuinely cares, and that has helped me more than I can properly put into words.
