What We Do

Our Approach

Number 11 provides tailored support that encourages adults to build confidence, develop life skills and improve their overall well-being.

Number 11 is a registered charity based on Chapel Lane, Burslem (Stoke-on-Trent). "Building hope, restoring lives" is our vision. Number 11 provides tailored support that encourages adults to build confidence, develop life skills and improve their overall well-being. We provide long-term, person-centred support through workshops, activities, 1:1 sessions and social events.

Number 11 encourages a sense of belonging, reduces isolation, promotes resilience and gives people a sense of purpose, structure and routine. We support clients to discover the root cause of their issues, participate more fully in their community and facilitate them to access other services, empowering them to live well.

Clients who join Number 11 commit to attending two days per week, from 10am to 2pm. Mornings are typically spent taking part in workshops focused on wellbeing, personal development and life skills. Clients, staff and volunteers then come together to share lunch, helping to build supportive relationships and a sense of community.

Afternoons are dedicated to activities such as sports, arts and crafts, team-building exercises, games and quizzes, providing opportunities to develop confidence, social skills and positive wellbeing.

Throughout the day, clients have regular opportunities to meet with their assigned support worker. These sessions are flexible and led by the individual's needs rather than a set time limit. Support may include:

  • Discussing wellbeing and emotional challenges
  • Setting and reviewing personal goals
  • Support with housing issues and tenancy-related matters
  • Help with benefits applications and financial matters
  • Budgeting advice and bill management
  • Signposting and referrals to other services

Our support workers can also accompany clients to medical appointments, housing meetings and other important appointments, helping them to access the support and services they need with confidence.

At Number 11, we provide person-centred support that recognises everyone's journey is different. We work alongside clients to help them build resilience, increase independence and create positive, lasting change in their lives.
